The Marketing Manager oversees various marketing initiatives, including proposal management, maintaining project, image, and resume databases, and supporting internal/external communication efforts. They are also responsible for auditing business opportunities, driving CRM database initiatives, and collaborating with teams across the company. The Marketing Manager position supports hybrid work, with 2-3 days in the office and occasional travel to our office in Lisle, Illinois, as well as industry events and job site visits.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the pursuit lifecycle from lead generation to project award by developing strategy and content materials that effectively convey the team's technical knowledge, staff qualifications, and experience while maintaining high-quality writing and graphic appeal
- Generate new marketing content and maintain existing content, including the company website, proposals, promotional materials, social media, and internal communications
- Manage the CRM and digital asset database, with a focus on data quality control, overseeing review and approval processes, and identifying gaps and effective solutions
- Review and approve content and graphics developed by the Marketing team, including proposals, promotional materials, social media posts, and company intranet updates, to ensure brand consistency and quality standards
- Identify the effectiveness and impact of current marketing initiatives and be prepared to provide effective solutions, including establishing guidelines, documenting business processes, and providing additional business development support
- Present ideas and final deliverables to internal and external teams and communicate with senior leaders about marketing programs, strategies, and budgets
- Lead the execution of marketing projects from start to finish, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration
- Analyze client insights, industry trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies
- Perform other duties as required/directed
Requirements:- A bachelor's degree is required. Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or equivalent preferred
- 3-5 years' experience with the RFP/proposal process, preferably in the A/E/C industry
- Proven experience developing marketing plans and campaigns
- Tested interpersonal, administrative, and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Proven professional writing and editing skills
- Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently effectively and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with a can-do attitude
- Experience with Graphic Design Software including Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, CRM platform (preferably Deltek), digital asset management platform (OpenAsset), and database management (familiarity with Airtable a plus)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and influencing skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop and sustain effective working relationships with both internal and external customers
- Proven ability to manage staff workload
- Proficiency in digital marketing and social media strategy
- Analytical-driven marketing mind with an eye for creativity
